In case you were wondering: Dr. Phil ain't your daddy. Just ask him.
Here: Watch this TikTok of Dr. Phil pleading with people to stop commenting "daddy" on Sisters Slavehis posts.
"I ain't ya daddy. I hate to break it to you, but I ain't ya daddy," he says in the TikTok. "And your real daddy is probably getting his feelings hurt. I appreciate the support. It's a little weird. But I do appreciate the support."
Honestly, it's not entirely clear who was calling Dr. Phil — the talk show host made famous by Oprah Winfrey — daddy enough that he felt the urge to comment on it. But one thing is clear, he's going to get called daddy even more now.
Some of the top comments on the TikTok said things like "yo daddy relax," "daddy chill," and "we are sorry, father." Pretty much all his other posts have daddy-related comments now too.
In case you didn't know, "daddy" has long been a meme. As the Washington Post noted in 2016, it's typically used as a term of adoration for a male authority figure. And while he might not appreciate the title, as BuzzFeed wrote, Dr. Phil does have a real son, so he is technically a daddy. I guess he just doesn't want to be our daddy. Oh well.
Anyway, here's a terrible PhotoShop of Dr. Phil as a daddy longlegs.
