All good things must come to an end. And now we know exactly when Twitter will take its Vine app to a nice farm where it can Watch Ava Onlinerun around free and play with other defunct apps.
SEE ALSO: Tech we lost: RIP Vine, Meerkat and the headphone jackIn a tweet posted on Wednesday afternoon, the app confirmed it will cease to exist as we know it on Jan. 17, completing its regeneration to "Vine Camera."
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
The tweet includes a link to a handy-dandy FAQ that walks you through the process of how to download your Vines (before January 17) and prep yourself for the new Vine Camera app, which sounds an awful lot like Vine except it's on Twitter instead.
And even if you don't download your Vines, you'll still be able to sift through the rich tapestry of six-second loops that the world has threaded together as the Vine website remains an archive.
So get to downloading if you need to, but also light a candle and await the (sort of) end.
