In the show's opening segment, Kimmel searches for a ride to the Emmys and is briefly invited to ride shotgun in Bush's limo.
When Kimmel, whose show is nominated for Outstanding Variety Talk Series, expresses concern about his chances of winning, Bush slipped in a not-so-subtle dig at Trump and his supporters.
"If you run a positive campaign, the voters ultimately will make the right choice."
When Kimmel fails to understand the sarcasm, Bush clarifies for him: "Jimmy, that was a joke. Get out of the car."
Poor Jeb.
