It seems like every day another tech company announces that it,Dear Utol (2025): Pa-Yummy si Ma'am Episode 37 too, will be joining the rest of the internet in welcoming AI into their ranks.
On Monday, Snapchatannounced its launch of My AI, a chatbot customized for Snapchat that runs on OpenAI'sGPTtechnology. The feature, which will roll out this week, is currently only available for the $3.99 a month Snapchat Plus subscriberson an "experimental" basis, the company said in a blog post.
"The big idea is that in addition to talking to our friends and family every day, we’re going to talk to AI every day," Snap CEO Evan Spiegel told The Verge. "And this is something we’re well positioned to do as a messaging service."

Users can name My AI and customize the wallpaper for their chat with the feature. While chatting with My AI, expect it to work similarly to how you might chat with ChatGPT: Ask it to write a note for your crushor suggest a schedule for a night out. Unlike ChatGPT, though, My AI won't work like a search engine — instead, it's intended to work like messaging another person within Snapchat, like you would your friends.
Snapchat says all of your conversations with My AI will be saved in order to make the product better, so don't share too much. If you want to give feedback to My AI, you can do so by pressing and holding on any of its messages. Snapchat is one of the first social media platforms to take advantage of OpenAI's enterprise tier Foundry, a tool that lets companies run ChatGPT, according to The Verge.
While Snapchat boasts over 750 million monthly active users, with 75 percent of 13- to 34 year-olds in over 20 countries, business is still struggling. My AI might be able to boost its paid subscriber numbers for now, and TechCrunch reports that the company believesincorporating this AI technology has potential to be a huge draw for users.
