Donald Trump is Swipedead set on building that wall across the Mexican border and it's going to cost (someone??) billions.
On Thursday, Business Insider reported that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had confirmed Congress is moving ahead with the plan to build Trump's architectural dream structure, and estimated the cost would be somewhere between $12 billion and $15 billion.
That's a YUGE amount of money, so to really put it into perspective we reimagined some other interesting ways the billions could be spent.

Donald Trump claims he has the best inauguration crowds so why not have the best professional basketball teams, too? In 2016, Forbes declared that the average NBA team is worth $1.3 billion. At that price, Trump could use his $15 billion to buy 11 teams, and maybe consider splurging a little extra for the Knicks (valued at $3 billion). Just imagine ... with 30 teams in the league, Trump could be the proud owner of 1/3 of the NBA. 😳
Instead of building a wall across the border of Mexico, Trump should just upgrade over 17 million people to the iPhone 7.
If he were to use that $15 billion in the Apple Store, he could purchase 17,667,845 256GB iPhone 7 devices(in gold, naturally) at $849 each. This doesn't include taxes though, because Donald allegedly doesn't have to pay those.
With his two accounts, Trump has tried (and epically failed) to Make Twitter Great Again. But hey, who knows ... maybe if he bought the social networking service things would be different?
While traders in Mexico have considered buying the site to shut down Trump, he could just scoop it up for himself. For around $12 billion Trump could buy Twitterand make it his presidential goal to add tweet editing -- a feature some want and he obviouslyneeds.
And since Trump's favorite social media platform comes at a bargain, he’ll have a few million left over that he might consider investing in a high school english tutor or some grammar/spelling workbooks.
As the idea of the wall moves closer and closer to becoming a reality, people are starting to freak out about the potential struggle to obtain avocados the barrier between Mexico may pose.
The Washington Postestimated that an avocado sells for about $3.60 at the grocery store. That means over4 billionavocados --4,166,666,666 to be exact -- could be purchased with the $15 billion it's costing to build the wall.
Holy guacamole.
Americans have been through a lot this election, so the least Trump could do is send around 4 million people to the hit broadway show, Hamilton.
Tickets are a ton of money, but Trump’s wall fund could snag around 4,338,394 of those prime Orchestra seatsgoing for about $3457.50 each (including service fees) for a Saturday night showing in New York.
Providing joy, music ANDa great history lesson to the American people seems like a pretty solid investment, don’t you agree?
There's been a great deal of speculation and "alternative facts" surrounding Trump's inauguration crowd numbers.
But with $15 billion, Trump would DEFINITELY be able to find a professional photoshop expert to make the crowds appear as big(ly) as his heart desires.
Then we could end this absurd debate once and for all.
Trump’s got a pretty big ego, and while he probably considers himself the most valuable thing on this earth, the potential $15 billion he's planning to spend on building this wall costs more than even hisown net worth. Sad!
In September 2016, Forbes estimated Trump's net worth to be approximately $3.7 billion, which is nothing compared to the TREMENDOUS amount of cash he’d be dropping on his beloved architectural structure. Instead of providing Trump with the money for the wall, Congress should just buy him instead.
Since Trump signed an executive order seeking the "prompt repeal" of the Affordable Care Act, a lot of people are terrified of their future medical expenses. So rather than using $15 billion on a wall, how about using all this money to fund healthcarefor the American people?
Trump might also consider using the money to settle some of his personal debts. He could reimburse the students of Trump University or hey, maybe even that baby he kicked out of his rally for crying.
The possibilities are endless.
