Prime Day is right around the corner, and though that means there will be a slew of discounts on tablets like iPads and more, that doesn't mean they'll be affordable for every budget. If you're in the market for a new piece of tech, you might consider Amazon's Fire tablet line, which now includes a model that's nearly comparable to an iPad, and much more affordable right now.
As of Oct. 6, the Amazon Fire Max 11 tablet is on sale for $149.99, the lowest price we've ever seen. That's 35% off and $80 in savings off the normal MSRP of $229.99.
Mashable reviewer SaVanna Shoemaker called the Fire Max 11 the "bougie-on-a-budget tablet we've been waiting for" in her review, praising its 11-inch display, powerful octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and attractive pricing. At its current sale price, you're saving at least $100 off any iPad model available, making the Fire Max 11 a great option even if you just want an excuse to finally try one.
While you'll be limited to what's available on the Amazon App Store, meaning you won't be able to utilize any official Google offerings like Google Docs, Gmail, or Google Drive, it still makes for an excellent way to stream your favorite shows and movies, listen to music, or get some work done on the go if you don't mind using Microsoft's work suites for your productivity needs.
