Tigers at Dreamworld's Tiger Island have been given the ultimate gift for summer: a A$7 million ($5.3 million) pool and habitat renovation.
SEE ALSO: Nothing to see here, just a tiger strolling along an Australian beachThe Australian theme park is partnered with the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation which is one of the leading organisations fighting for tiger conservation worldwide; from public donations first-hand involvement with preservation projects.
The new pool and habitat gives visitors a different perspective on the animals, as guests can watch the tigers seek sweet liquid relief from the upcoming heat of summer.
As for an archetypical feline fear of water, Tiger Island manager Patrick Martin-Vegue said the 12 tigers at the park are as far away from that stereotype as you can get.
Though you won't see all of the animals fully submerge themselves, Martin-Vegue told the Courier Mail, "Come summer, you won’t be able to keep them out of it."
In addition to the new aquatic centre, brand new exhibit and conservation areas were unveiled to the public as well as animal husbandry facilities, which we're presuming are a little more private than the glass sided pool.
Speaking with The Brisbane Times, Dreamworld CEO Craig Davidson said that at the the core of the project is a push for awareness and public participation in tiger conservation.
"Turning the spotlight on conservation, visitors to this amazing new conservation precinct will be able to feel closer to our tigers than ever before, encouraging empathy and educating guests on the plight of tigers in the wild," he said.

That's a pool party we'd love to attend, with the appropriate saftey precautions.
