Sometimes we feel like we deserve awards for every day actions. For example, eroticism studio 54 getting out of bed without hitting the snooze button is a pretty monumental. Seems award worthy to us.
Well, one New York man did in fact receive an award last week for a seemingly small action. He was sitting on the subway when he noticed a pregnant woman standing nearby, and decided to yield his seat to her.

Yvonne Lin is eight months into her second pregnancy and not a single man has offered her a seat on the subway in that entire time.
"I was getting no seats from men," Lin told DNAinfo, although she did mention that plenty of women have offered. The lack of men doing the same inspired her to conduct her own social experiment.
According to DNAinfo, Lin made sure to dress in a way that emphasized her pregnancy. She also persevered with carrying the seven-inch trophy that's pictured in the Instagram post in her bag at all times.
"I thought, 'You know what, it's worth it to carry it,'" explained Lin. "If I finally get a seat from a guy then I have to celebrate this some way and make sure he knows he’s appreciated."
Sure enough, one kind gentleman finally earned the distinction. Lin didn't get the man's name, but she did take a photo of him smiling with the trophy.
"He looked up at me and looked super startled and embarrassed," Lin recounted to DNAinfo, "and he immediately stood up and said, 'Please take this seat, I just noticed.'"
Lin hopes both her and the kind man's actions will inspire other New Yorkers to be more courteous, not just to pregnant women but to everyone.
