If you've ever ordered a burger996 ArchivesUber Eats and impatiently watched the app tracker as your meal was submitted, processed, cooked, and finally picked up for delivery, there's a new feature to speed up the process.
The food delivery app added a Priority Delivery option on Monday. For an additional 99 cents to $2, you can make sure your delivery driver handles your order first before dropping off another order in the queue. It's supposed to guarantee anywhere from five to 10 minutes less waiting time.
Here's how the faster delivery looks in the app. Your delivery will come to you directly after it gets picked up. You won't have to wait for other orders to get dropped off on the way ahead of your burger and fries.
The new option is only available for U.S. users for now, but eventually it will roll out everywhere Uber Eats delivers. The new fee will be looped into other delivery fees you're already paying, so the delivery worker should receive at least part of it. But it doesn't mean they will get paid more than they normally would for a delivery.

If you're neither rushed nor totally zen, there's still the usual standard delivery with no fees or discounts to think about.
