Like the majority of people who saw A Quiet Place in theaters,Watch Sukeban Deka the Movie 2: CounterI spent a lot of time squirming, screaming, and jumping in my seat.
Most of the screams were because I was scared out of my mind, but one special outburst was because I trulyfelt John Krasinski was trying to give everyone a flashback to one of the sweetest moments in The Office.
SEE ALSO: 'A Quiet Place' is even better when it's mashed up with 'The Office'If you haven't seen the movie yet, let me paint you a quick picture of this scene that gave me MAJOR emotions.
At one point during Krasinski's horror film he and his co-star/on-screen wife/IRL wife, Emily Blunt, briefly take a step back from their stressful lives filled with sound-seeking monsters trying to murder them to dance together in their basement.
Blunt, who's wearing earbuds, appears behind Krasinski while he's working to make it clear she's in the mood to just be like a normal lovey-dovey husband and wife for a freaking minute. Understandable, Emily!
John, being a nice and observant husband, picks up on her signal and leads her to the middle of the basement for a dance. There, she romantically removes one of her earbuds and lends it to him so the two can temporarily exist in the world together with sound. While sharing earbuds the two hold each other and sway to the sound of Neil Young's "Harvest Moon," and after watching the rest of the film I left the theater and could only tweet the following:

WHY WAS THAT MOMENT SO IMPORTANT? Because John Krasinski took part in that same exact sacred act of romantic headphone sharing with Jenna Fischer in Season 2, Episode 7 of The Office, titled "The Client."
Via GiphyThe similar moment that Jim Halpert and Pam Beesley engaged in on The Officeis so dear to my heart that I've actually written about it for Mashable before. (Not embarrassing, okay? Just adorably dedicated.)
So when I saw John and Emily share earbuds I literally gasped in the theater — but didn't dare express my excitement out loud because it was so quiet in there you couldn't even chew snacks. Instead, I left the showing and searched Twitter to see if there were any other people obsessing over this tiny moment. Lucky for my ego, there were.

People see what you did, John, and we must know if this was an intentional reference. While we wait lets just admire the similarities, ask ourselves which couple we ship more, and obsess over more similarities between The Office and A Quiet Place.
