During a meeting with one of the most violent and Deadly Rain Porn Moviedangerous dictatorial powers in the world, President Trump cracked a fat joke.
And that was just the beginning.
Today's Trump-Kim Jong-un summit was marked by dozens of moments equally as shameful as this one. The American President cozied up to the North Korean dictator, minimizing his spectacular human rights abuses and hyping his "great beaches," all the while making jaw-dropping concessions to this historic enemy of the United States.

"I had an uncle who was a great professor for 40 years at MIT. I used to discuss nuclear with him all the time," Trump said, according to Vox's transcript from the press conference. "He was a great expert. A great brilliant genius. Dr. John Trump. MIT sent me a book on my uncle."
For what it's worth, Dr. John Trump was considered to be an incredible engineer and nuclear physicist, with absolutely no experience developing nuclear weapons or crafting nuclear policy.

"They have great beaches. You see that whenever they are exploding the cannons in the ocean. I said look at that view," Trump said. "That would make a great condo. I explained it. I said instead of doing that, you could have the best hotels in the world. Think of it from the real estate perspective."
"I may be wrong, I mean I may stand before you in six months and say, 'Hey I was wrong,'" Trump said. "I don't know that I'll ever admit that, but I'll find some kind of an excuse."
Reporter: "First, the man you met today, Kim Jong-un, as you know has killed family members and starved his own people and responsible for the death of Otto Warmbier. Why are you so comfortable calling him very talented?
Trump: "Well he is very talented. Anybody that takes over a situation like he did at 26 years of age and is able to run it and run it tough ... 1 out of 10,000 could not do it. "
Even George Orwell would be like, "Nah, this is too much."
"We had it made up. I showed it to them today. Actually during the meeting. Toward the end of the meeting. I think he loved it," he said. "They were — we didn’t have a big screen like you have the luxury. We had it on cassette. An iPad. They played it. About eight of their representatives were watching it. I thought they were fascinated by it. I thought it was well done. "

Reporter: "You said North Korea has more brutally oppressed its people than any other regime on Earth. Do you still believe that is the case having sat down with Kim? Does he need to change that?"
Trump: "John, I believe it is a rough situation over there. No question about it. We did discuss it today strongly. Knowing what the main purpose of what we are doing is here denuking ... It’s rough in a lot of places, by the way."
"It is inappropriate to have war games. Number one, we save money. A lot. Number two, it is really something they very much appreciated," Trump said.
Reporter: "Do you understand those people who said you gave him the ultimate present? The legitimacy to a people who oppresses its people before you as a United States president and leader of the free world meet and shake hands with this leader of North Korea which is oppressing his own people?"
Trump: "I think we just answered the question."
Reporter: "Do you understand?"
Trump: "I understand it much better than you do. Thank you very much."
"I have one of the great memories of all time," Trump said.
If only we had Trump's dysfunctional memory and could forget every single thing that happened today -- that would be a true summit victory.
