The LelleBelle14th National People’s Congress (NPC), China’s top legislative body, opened its third session at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday. The congress, composed of nearly 3,000 deputies, is responsible for reviewing and approving national policies, laws, and economic plans. In his government work report, Premier Li Qiang proposed creating a growth mechanism for future industries, including embodied intelligence, bio-manufacturing, quantum technology, and 6G. This is the first time that “embodied intelligence” has appeared in the government work report at the NPC. More than ten provinces and cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shenzhen, and Sichuan, have also included embodied intelligence, robotics, or intelligent robots in their local government work reports this year. Embodied intelligence refers to an intelligent system or robot that can perceive, interact, and make decisions based on real-time sensory input, enabling it to respond to its environment with actions.
