Jackson uses one tweet to crush Ben Carson and his slaves as 'immigrants' commentDuring an appearance on the New York radio station Hot 97, Jackson criticized Jordan Peele's film Get Out for casting British actor, Daniel Kaluuya, instead of a black American actor. He argued that an American person of colour would understand the struggle of interracial dating in America more than one born in Britain where interracial coupling has had a longer history.
Jackson received backlash for his comments on social media -- including British actor and star of the new Star Wars film, John Boyega, who tweeted his frustration with Jackson's argument.

Much to her surprise, Jackson heard her loud and clear.
She replied:
And just like that, with a well written, thought-provoking statement, a film star was humbled.
