Look at that wild box. Every layer of that 3D art piece is Brother in law Who Gave His Sister in law a Little Sex Educationpart of a sleeve containing each individual season's discs.
Game of Thronesmay be over, but HBO's biggest post-finale cash-in -- the inevitable home video release -- will be out on Dec. 3. The snazzy-looking box set contains all eight seasons of the show along with a mountainous pile of extras to help justify the purchase for HBO Now/Go subscribers.
The highlight of those extras for many will likely be the reunion special, shot live in Belfast with Conan O'Brien hosting. According to HBO, the special "is assembled in segments focused on Houses Lannister, Stark, & Targaryen and concludes with the key players all onstage for their final reflections on the years they shared in Westeros and Essos."
There's a freshly released clip from the special (and it's so very, very sweet) to coincide with the announcement.
You can also expect to find any extras that were included in previously released Game of Thronesbox sets, which HBO says amounts to another 15 hours of extra materials.
Then, on top of all that, there's a bunch of other stuff, starting with a DVD version of Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, that behind-the-scenes special HBO dropped right after the series ended. There are also audio commentaries for Season 8, five "deleted or extended" scenes from that final season, and animated featurettes "giving the history and background of notable Season 8 locations and storylines."
Want more? Good news: There are two additional behind-the-scenes looks to go with all the rest. "When Winter Falls" is a 30-minute deep dive into the making of the final season's Battle of Winterfell -- hopefully one that doesn't blame the fans again for not knowing how to tune their TVs. Plus there's "Duty is the Death of Love," a similar behind-the-scenes dive into the series' final episode.
All of it is piled into that very attractive box, held together by a Hand of the King pin replica. Take a look:

A standalone release for Season 8 will also arrive that day, as will a cheaper version of the complete series that's not packaged in this elaborate box.
It's worth noting that the reunion special is exclusive to the fancier box set. So if you're hoping to check that out, you might want to start saving now.
