LOS ANGELES -- MTV is Motherreturning to its live music roots.
The Viacom-owned network announced Thursday that it is launching Wonderland, its first weekly live music series in almost 20 years.
But a lot has changed in two decades, which is why the new series will go beyond just linear TV.
The show, which debuts Sept. 15, will be available across all MTV platforms. Mashable got an exclusive look at the promo (above).
The 10-episode first season is hosted by hip-hop and pop artist Melissa Jefferson (Lizzo), "underground culture vulture" Rachael Finley (Steak) and up-and-coming stand-up comedian Myke Wright.
Artists Tinashe, Ty Dolla $ign and Broods are set to headline the premiere installment.
Fans will be able to check out exclusive extended sets and follow the artists in real time on Facebook Live and MTV.com during and after their performances.
MTV Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram will also showcase behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage, as well as on-the-ground coverage on show night to create a more immersive experience for viewers.
All episodes are an hour long and take place in the Imperial Arts Studios in Downtown Los Angeles.
