The news giant acquired Neistat's Beme app last year, and is now working with the creator to launch a new standalone company that will use smartphones to create video content.
“Here I am, exactly two years later, starting another company,” Neistat said in his latest video. "And all of a sudden I feel like I have a purpose to do this again, and that’s crazy exciting for me. That makes me feel so good.”
The digital star has built a following of 6.8 million subscribers since joining the platform in 2010.
Neistat has kept busy in the last few months. He has been occasionally uploading vlogs and working on some branded content.
